In any season, every warm drink prepared at home brings comfort to all. Though there are special-occasion-only drinks such as the eggnog, it does not mean that you only have to drink it on X'mas day. If you like it, just make it any time of the year!
EGGNOG OR HOT CHOCOLATE
Chocolate has long been known for a host of benefits for their hearts, including lower blood pressure, lower “bad” LDL cholesterol and a lower risk of heart disease. So hot chocolate is more welcoming by far. A 250ml mug has just 2g of fat, but the same amount of eggnog has 11g.
The "fattening" ingredient in Eggnog is the full cream, whole milk, and alcohol that can pack up to 224kcal per 250ml. Some folks like the eggnog for the good cholesterol but nothing beats sharing the hot chocolate with family, where both adults and kids can enjoy a mug of hot chocolate which contains less than 200kcal.
So which is healthier? Pally's choice goes to the Hot Chocolate! Coz not everyone enjoys egg for a drink, even if it has rum in it.

Pally Healthy Tip: For the healthier version of the eggnog, try to use lesser rum or go without it. Using skimmed milk will also help reduce the decadence.
